A Message to the general student community

Let us show the community that

we at SLIIT are unique

• As a member of the SLIIT community, be proud of the recognition received by SLIIT and its achievements.
  
  
• Let us behave exemplarily within and outside the SLIIT premises. Behaving in any way that would cause embarrassment to anyone in the SLIIT community is a show of indecency.
  
  
• All SLIIT students are generally accepted to be decent students. They shall display decency, in all their actions.
  
  
• The dress one wear reflects ones character and upbringing and hence let us at SLIIT be properly attired at all times.
  
  
• Let us follow the SLIIT culture of respecting each other and safeguarding each other’s rights
  
  
• Be polite to the fellow students and members of the staff and the community.
  
  
• Let us be mindful that attendance at lectures, practical classes, tutorials is compulsory at SLIIT and 80% attendance is a requirement to sit examinations.
  
  
• Students are expected to be fully aware of the rules and regulations applicable to them at SLIIT. Being unaware of such information is not fitting to a “SLIIT Student”. Also unawareness would not be accepted as an excuse.
  
  
• Humility is a quality which reflects the greatness in a person. Submission of the Student Identity card for inspection by security staff when called upon to do so is an obligation of every SLIIT student. Let`s show humility by doing so.
  
  
• Discipline is regarded as a very important aspect in SLIIT life and any breach would have serious consequences. Let’s be mindful of that as well.
  
  
• Adhering to time frames announced by the management for various activities reflects the quality of a responsible/respectable student. Let us display by action, that we all are responsible/respectable students.
